In short: vertually flat castal run with a couple of speed ramps to slow you down
In full: Well organised, well attended run, good atmosphere and an enjoyable run (apart from the last 1k up steep hill)
Well done to all involved

In short: Well marshalled seafront race.
In full: This was a well marshalled "out and back" type course with a "nasty" hill at the 9K point. There is no real atmosphere - Herne Bay has clearly not embraced the race and the only support seemed to come from friends and families of the runners. The race is PB friendly despite the hill - the rest of the course is pretty flat plus you run down the "nasty" hill just after the start of the race. To conclude, it is worth trying this event at least once and I aim to be back in 2006.

In short: Stunningly ordinary course and atmosphere.
In full: Very ordinary course and atmosphere whereas I would have hoped the County 10k championship would have had a bit of real class and a much bigger entry. Ought to be a blue riband of road running in Kent.

In short: Well marshalled race, with lots of help for the beginner
In full: As a beginner I found the wind hard work. Would have managed so much better without it.That hill at 9K was unbelievable, it was really hard work striding up it let alone running. Lots of encouragement on the way from everyone which made it worth running. Will be back next year.

In short: Just the one hill, but what a hill...
In full: Well organised race, good atmosphere. Very steep hill down at the start, sadly no ski-lift to help us all up on the way back! Otherwise a fast, flat course if the wind is in the right direction (easterly until half way then westerly...) I only saw kilometre markers at 5km and 9km - maybe I missed the rest, but if not then this would be a helpful addition for even pacing.

In short: Well organised seafront 10k
In full: Race was well sign right from the main road which was nice. Well marshalled, with all mardshals staying position until the last person passed. I was running with a beginnner right at the back, and every single marshall without execption has some words of encouragment as we passed by.

Mainly flat with a big dowhill incline in the first K and a big uphill incline at 9k. Some two way running for 3/4k, but that is unavoidabler I suppose with limited seafront space. Completely traffic free and safe course. Well done to the organsiers.
