In short: A great race
In full: This is a great race in a lovely park. The organisers work very hard to make it a very efficient event from start to finish. It deserves far more entrants. It must be one of the few races where horse riders cross the course and there's a sign saying "Beware of Golf Balls". Well done to Sevenoaks AC for another great day. See you next year.

In short: Tough but great race
In full: Fantastic scenery. Great marshalling. First time with timing chips this year but no problems. Lots of tough ups & downs though all pretty short. Great race & thank goodness wasn't last weekend!

In short: A lonely race at the back............. but at least good support
In full: I knew that it would be a lonely race at the back when I was left behind before we'd even reached the first corner and soon the runners in front were long out of sight. This was my first event back having been out with injury for nearly 8 weeks so I just told myself treat it as a training run - and the scenery was gorgeous. People passing by were all very encouraging and cheerful which I appreciated, as were some of the runners who lapped me - especially the first lady (I hope she won - I've not dared look at the results yet to see how far behind I was)who took the time to shout encouragement as she went past. Another big thanks to the marshals for waiting for me, especially to Richard who ran the last mile with me, whilst carrying signs - and the people who waited at the finish line and cheered me to the end.

Numbers seemed down on last year, which is a shame, as it is a great event in a beautiful park. (And maybe I wouldn't have been on my own at the back -well I can dream anyway). One suggestion for the future is better signage from the leisure centre to the race HQ as there were a few people looking lost....

In short: Another lovely Sunday in Knole Park
In full: Its been a while since I've done this race but it was great being back. Its nice having a shortish distance like this all off road with afew challenging hills thrown in. Lovely being back and I'll try and make it a more regular part of my racing year!

In short: As ever, excellent organisation even down to the weather
In full: Thank you to Sevenoaks AC and everyone else involved in organising, staffing and supporting the Sevenoaks 7.

Totally hassle free for this runner, the two lap course works really well with the hills (seems like much more uphill than downhill!) providing interest and challenge.

A couple of suggestions for improvements:
(1) to supply water in paper cups as these are easier to pinch than plastic cups, and
(2) reposition the finish line to avoid the crater and drain cover approx 5 yards from the line itself - these are a potential hazard , especially for a competitive sprint finish

See you next year.

In short: A good fun course.
In full: I really enjoyed this race and found that it used some similar paths to the Knole Park 10k that I did in March. It was still interesting as we raced in other area's of the Park and in opposite directions.

I've also found that I'm getting fitter as I was only a couple of minutes over my time that I set in March during the 10k race.

My time after 10k was 45 mins. This gives me a lot of confidence for future events.

Finally the medal was very nice and makes up for the lack of medal for the Bluebell 10k Race on the 25th of April.

If you are considering entering this race then go ahead. You will enjoy it.
