In short: Challenging course, great atmosphere & friendly club
In full: First proper race for me outside of Race for Life . Friendly welcome, good turn out for the race. Challenging course I thought. Well marshelled and appreciated encouragement from them, especially on those hills! Killer hill in the last mile of race but then mostly downhill for last half mile or so of the course. Chucking it down with rain at one point but this didn't put a dampner on proceedings. Refreshments were on hand back at that the cricket club house. Soon warmed up with a cuppa :)Presentation & buffet followed. Great goody bag thanks to race sponsors Up & Running. I'll be back next year for more. Thanks Heanor Running Club!

In short: What goes up, must come down.....
In full: Straight into a steepish hill made me start to wish I'd stayed in but after the first mile the course flattened out. The whole atmosphere was great, really friendly people and fab marshalls.
The goody bag was one of the best ever, with a very reasonable entry fee this is a lovely local race.
Even the rain at the end didn't dampen our adrenaline!

In short: Nice rice with good organisation. Back next year I think.
In full: There was a bit more hilliness than I expected, which slowed mile 4 down, but allowed me to pick up mile 5 as the fastest mile of the race.
Really friendly marshalls and good organisation. Thank you.

In short: Great night, thanks to all who braved the heat!
In full: Thank you to everybody who did the race on a very hot evening. Re the 3 mile marker sign, on a course that is more than one lap sometimes you will see the 3 mile sign before you reach the 1st mile sign, a look at your watch should give a clue as to what distance you have done. Happy days!
