In short: TARMAC hills :-) In full: Makes a change from running trails and fells. Still pretty steep in places, but some lovely downhills make it very rewarding. Smoothly organised by very friendly runners, a great run to do on a summer evening! Watch out for those lovely views on top of those steep hills :-) Date of review: July 19, 2007

In short: Brilliant course, maybe there's a steeper route in the Andes, don't believe the "climb for 1.5 miles" stuff, I made only the last 100 yards downhill }:-) Date of review: July 13, 2006

In short: Brilliant views and the race gives you a real sense of achievement when you finish In full: A lovely evening in a beautiful setting. Not a personal best course but it is challenging so a great feeling when you finish. The organisation and marshalling was great and it was a friendly bunch of runners which helped when doing it for the first time. The water stations were very welcoming and I'm so glad that I decided to run it. Date of review: July 13, 2006

In short: Superb uplifting race in glorious forestry, A real must-do. In full: Up hill to mile 2 then from 2.5 to 4. Mostly massive downhills to the end after that. Glorious views. Overly generous goodies and provisions at the finish and a superb race. So good I could have run it twice. Would have liked mile markers, 1 water station which you pass twice was plenty. Well marshalled and traffic free. Date of review: July 13, 2006
