In short: Great race, great time, great day. In full: Fantastic weather for a prom race, warm, hardly any wind. One of the best supported races around - people all through the route cheering. A word of thanks to the MC who seems to glue it all together with his chat/interviews/advice/information about Bognor. Well done Bognor! Date of review: May 25, 2007
In short: Very, very good race. Flat and fast. In full: Pre race package good, toilets bad, parking good, undoing chip bad, course by sea good, bottle neck at finish bad, support good, marshals good, weather good, you would have to go a long way to beat this as a race. (But why why why do runners who will finish in an hour stand in the 45 minute starting bay Grrrr) Date of review: May 25, 2007
In short: great race in every way! In full: Fast and flat with great sea views. Well organised bar the loos and is chip timing worth it? Great local post race facilities, fish & chips and a dip in the sea! Will be back. Date of review: May 21, 2007
In short: Running fun beside the seaside In full: First time I have done this race and I loved it. Upsides: atmosphere, chip timing, fast and flat, closed roads Downsides: not enough portaloos (1:100 ratio! Eeek!), chip off shoes before water. Not enough downsides to put me off doing it again though!
One complaint I heard a lot of was about leaving the starting chip mats on the ground which confused some people who thought they had finished when they hadn't.
Only my 4th ever 10k race but so far my favourite by a long long way :) Roll on 2008! Date of review: May 21, 2007
In short: Lovely, lovely, lovely In full: Happy cheery friendly marshalls. Great support. Fab weather this year. A friend who lives local so no queue for the toilet plus a shower and sarnie after (although I was told to keep this quiet, they don't want a thousand people queueing at their door next year :o).
A summer 10k really get any better than this.
This struck me as a GREAT race for a first 10k or race virgin. Fast, flat and well supported course.
Will be back next year Date of review: May 20, 2007
In short: Kinda quaint In full: It's quick! Much more enjoyable than the Brighton 10k which has similarities. Weather was awesome, and the support was very good - surprisingly good actually, it's great to see the local community really embrace this run. Good organisation - I liked the signs for expected finishing time, it kept people in the correct places on the start line. Few quibbles; only 13 portaloos for 1300 runners, the 3k mark was out of place (too far back) and the chip debacle at the end - the removal from the laces is not the first thing you want to fiddle with after having busted a gut. Roads being closed was a bonus, and even though I had to fix my gold medal to keep it from falling off the ribbon I certainly felt like I'd taken part in a decent event of a race. I will certainly be back firing on all cylinders next year (I hope). Date of review: May 20, 2007
In short: A beautiful day to run by the sea! In full: A really well organised race, only issue was at the end. Bit of a bottleneck finish!! I love running by the sea and because it was a nice day there was a lot of support! Date of review: May 20, 2007
