In short: Not impressed!
In full: I had been a big fan of the Victory 5 mile race purely for its PB potential.

I am not impressed though after entering the 10k. The extended route is just a lap round a grotty car park. Also I ran a time fast enough to finish in the top 8 and my name is not even on the results! The admin team must have mistakenly entered me for the 5 miler!

Sort it out next year please!! If anyone could find me the results of the 5 mile and post me a link, I would be grateful!

I would advise others to stick to the 5 mile event in future. :)

In short: A well-organised race with good PB potential but also a good first race.
In full: Exactly what you want from a 10k really, good organisation and marshalling on a very flat and fast route. A good mix of runners from the very fast through social runners to people obviously trying their first race. Relaxed atmosphere and considering this was in the middle of a big city there were some nice quiet and fairly pretty parts of the route. One lap, no serious bottlenecks and plenty of room for overtaking. Not many opportunities for supporters to see their runners except at start and finish but at least there was a nice cafe for them to sit in at the race HQ. Unusual memento too, which was a nice touch. My only slight gripe was the water stations which were too early in the race and then another too late, would have been better with just one about half way in my opinion, but it was only 10k so not really an issue, especially on a chilly day. Will definitely be back next year!

In full: Lovely friendly race, super Marshall who were really encouraging. I do hate that Foreshore though, just seems to go on forever on the way back - though a necessary evil to keep off-highway.
Was gutted at first re no medal, then opened the box and was quite was pleasantly surprised at the memento.
Will definitely do this again.

In short: My first 10k and really enjoyed it
In full: This was my first 10k event and I was quite nervous before hand having only done fun runs. When I got there the nerves faded away, the pre-race atmosphere was good. The course itself was well laid out and marshaled well. I set a PB for the distance and felt really comfortable. First time running without headphones which was different, but no way near as bad as I thought it would be. The prize at the end was great too, well worth the effort. Will do this one again. Loved it, thanks to all involved.

In short: Very flat course
In full: A new venue for 2012, so the Promenade name is out-of-date: the course is around a business park.

It isn't particularly picturesque, but it's very flat: my GPS reckoned the elevations were between sea-level and 5m.

The marshals gave clear instructions, and results were posted quickly after the race.

I bagged a 5K PB despite high winds at the first race of this year's series. Will be back for the remaining races.

In short: Nice series to test yourself next time!
In full: Windy along the seafront this time, but will definately be back next month to test myself again! Don't try to cut too close corners or you may fall in the sea! Hahaha

In short: A good club race
In full: My forth D-Day, but not my last. A well organised race. I do agree with the coment about the length of time the presentation took, where unfortunately quite a few of the winners had 'left the building'. I also thought that ear pieces were banned in all races! Not wishing to sound rude, but lapped runners can't hear you coming, which was a little tricky coming in to the finish! Thanks to everyone involved.

In short: An enjoyable race, well run
In full: A nice, flat, fast course with enough to look at to take your mind off the pain and some smiling marshalls along the way. The organisation was very good and the posting of results very soon after people crossed the line was excellent.

My thanks to everyone who gave up their time to make the event a success. See you next year.

In short: Enjoyable sunday 10k, nice to run a smaller race. Well done
In full: Very good 10k, not really a fan of multi lap races but this was nice. friendly runners and marshalls. New PB as well, so can't be bad. Well organised not problems at all.
