In short: Hot day made that hill horrible!
In full: Second time of doing this race. Hot day and glad it didn't start any later than 9.30. Hill made extra hard due to weather. Good goodie bag. Will do again as it's just on my doorstep!

In short: A great 5k event and well organised
In full: This was my first time running in this event, and I am glad that I did.! I made it up the hill in one piece -although no-one said running 5k was meant to be easy.

The marshals were really good and there were lots of them which is great to see.

Great little goody bag too, and the paperweight was a nice little touch and i was informed that all of the goody bag items are donated or sponsored so it's nice to know all my money is going to the charity.

Well orgaised and well done.!

In short:
In full: A great 5k to run and thoroughly recommended. Very well organised and a great atmosphere to match. Ideal for new runners. Although 'that hill' is not for the faint hearted, especially on the hottest day of the year so far. But all in all a 5* 5k race. Good little trophy too. So definately back next year. Ardderchog !

In short: Humidity was very high and serious hill
In full: Humidity was very high and hard to fill those lungs with oxygen. Well organised with no shortage of volunteers and great atmosphere. It was also friendly for those wanting to walk the course. That hill was hard but only probably due to the humidity and I did manage to run the whole course including the hill. Even though I am used to hills as I train in the valleys I still found it hard but was pleased with my time, approx 23 minutes.

In short: Good run, friendly, well marshalled although no distance markers and a challenging hill
In full: Big hill at 3Ks was as bad as I was led to believe - but doesnt go on that long and it doesnt take long to walk (which I did!). Lots of friendly marshalls and police cover, even on the open roads the junctions were marshalled. Friendly atmosphere, although it was very hot today there was plenty of water at the halfway station, even though I was almost at the back.

Nice goody bag too :)

Only negative comment (other than the weather!) was that there seemed to be a lack of distance markers on the course.

Good beginner race, despite the course which is NOT flat, I will be back :)

In short: Never done this one before - truly a wee gem!
In full: A lovely little race. Of all the races I've done over the years in S Wales I'd never got round to this one and now I realise what I'd missed. Superbly organised, a lovely trophy and lovely weather too - albeit a bit too hot at times. That hill at around 4k is a real trial, putting paid to the PB potential but what the heck it was greta fun. Hope to be back next year,

In short: A killer hill on a very hot day
In full: A nice 5K for charity although one of the first I've done with such a lovely steep hill midway. The organisation was good and although the goodie bags were v nice (fancy paperweight etc)I felt that they should have kept the money/donations etc for the charity. (Perhaps just an extra bottle of water because of the heat!?!)
