In short: Great race having burnt off Christmas excess.
In full: Did my first half marathon here in 2004 and have been back every year since. Course fairly quick but if the prevailing wind blows then running towards the finish at the pier is akin to walking towards the pyramids in the desert! I'm sure I have spent at least 15 minutes jogging on the spot every year.

In short: Why is it always windy?
In full: Lovely race this, I do it every year and every year it either rains or blows a sand filled gale into your face! I love the people that come along as they are friendly and fun to run with. Just a little dissapointed with the waterstations this year, one was marked as "ahead" and I couldn't beleive it was another 3 miles until I found it! Also the first was so badly marked I had to go back to it. Other than that the organisation is good and the staff supportive and friendly

In short: Fat half-marathon along the sea front- built for speed
In full: A great race for speedsters ... no great hills and the surfaces are good apart fromn the 10-12 mile stretch on rough concrete

In short: Fast, mainly flat course but windy
In full: Fast, mainly flat course but windy. Mile markers were inaccurate but otherwise organisation was very good and a good atmosphere at the end.

In short: First time for years that the wind has not been in my face on the last mile. Shame that injury meant I could not take advantage.
