In short: Small, enjoyable, well organised race with village fate atmosphere. In full: Really enjoyed my local club race which as normal was well organised and ran like clockwork. A good mix of club runners, unattached locals and beginners. The fun run afterwards was excellent too. Date of review: September 19, 2011

In short: Undulating but fast course In full: Yes, there are a few undulations but there are plenty of places to pick up speed... you just need to check out the course profile and then make the most of the downhill bits... definate pb course with the right strategy... the finish is lower than the start and there is a long stretch downhill between 6-8k which is where most people fade in a 10k... also not traffic free which is a bit annoying when idiot drivers try to drive into you... Lots of support at the finish... but didn't get to have any of the homemade cake.. always next year though Date of review: September 21, 2008

In short: Few small hills, PB potential In full: Undulating course. There is a steep hill near the end but it's not long, so not that bad. Definate PB potential. Been trying to get my PB down for ages at this distance and managed to take almost 3 minutes off! Date of review: September 21, 2008

In short: Great race as usual In full: This is always a good race and this year was no exception. Nice atmosphere in the Village Hall at the start and friendly marshalls all round the course. Still find the the undulations near the start and finish a challenge. Thanks to everyone who helped organise the event. Date of review: September 23, 2007

In short: A PB course though a little tougher than it looks In full: Nice race, shame about the thunderstorm beforehand - soaked to the skin on the warm-up and covered in mud from the car park (aka muddy field. I blame the organisers (well, they get blamed for everything else). Nice circuit though. Mostly flat but with a few little uphills to make you work hard, but not too hard. The only downside was the finish that twisted and turned into the village hall car park - it's a pity it couldn't be on the main road which would give a nice straight run in.
