In short: The kind of course even Wile Coyote would set a PB!
In full: Wonderful organisation, from the huge car park, through the copious facilities to the abundance of water-stations and wet-sponges.

The organisation here is up with the "big name" half-marathons such a Reading, Fleet, etc.

The fenland countryside is flat, but I would not say it's boring. There is more than enough here to keep you occupied for a couple of hours!

This is a perfect place to come for a PB-chasher - long flat stretches and almost no runner congestion.

In short: Great event. Fab organisation and very friendly marshals. Hot day so wet sponges were very welcome!
In full: My first half-marathon so the objective was to finish. Great support and encouragement from the marshals all the way through. Would have preferred a t-shirt to a medal, but no real complaints. Nice to run 13.1 miles with no hills ...

In short: Flat, scenic hot
In full: This was my first half marathon and was a great introduction to the sport, and maybe even has converted me (a non-runner). The course was flat with nice surroundings.
It was a hot day and the drinks and sponges were a welcome relief.
Will be attending again next year to hopefully get a PB.

In short: Flat, fast course but hot
In full: My club stage this race so I'll try not to be too biased.
You won't find a flatter course than this anywhere, although I can understand that some might find the scenery boring. Personally I love running in vast open expanses like this. Plenty of marshals and good vocal support keep you going, although Whitecross Road (the long straight bit) gets a tiny bit tedious.
Sponges were most welcome, particularly on a warm day like this. Yes water bottles instead of cups would be nice - but they also cost more money. Nice medal made the run worthwhile. Well worth the six mile round trip!

In short: well organised, flat & fairly fast.
In full: Actually enjoyed the scenery (a nice break from town runs.) Mostly traffic free and flat enough for a PB (am blaming the weather for missing mine by 2 mins). Well organised, nice to see enthusiastic marshalls on the course. One of the better halfs on the calender - will be back again.

In short: Slick organisation; superb medal
In full: Had a great time. Very well organised. One of the best medals in my collection; easily on a par with the ADT London ones of the late 80's. Lively and enthusiastic locals and marshalls. Beginner friendly.

In short: Hot, flat and hard work! Friendly and well organised
In full: I always thought i preferred running "on the flat" but have come to the conclusion I need those undulations both physically ( there`s nothing better than a downhill coast after an uphill slog) and mentally....those flat endless fenland roads were a real killer psychologically for me and the added heat could have been the final nail in the coffin but there was plenty of encouragement from the friendly marshalls ( and I have to agree the red head stands out in my memory..a good memory of course) and from other runners themselves...much appreciated, not sure if I`d have made it without them. Enjoyed the day, would have preferred more water at the end...bottles at the end would have been nice as I really don`t have the energy to keep going back for refills but other than that no complaints..i will be back.

In short: Flat, fast - and hot
In full: The day started out with almost ideal conditions, and then the sun cam out and didn't seem to go back in again. Fortunately, the water stations were frequent and well-staffed. Whilst plastic cups are admittedly much harder to drink out of than bottles I reckon that they are preferable in a race such as this as there is much less chance of losing your footing on a discarded cup.

The race doesn't offer much in the way of scenery (unless you particularly like very flat fields), but this was more than made up for by the enthusiasm of the marshalls and the spectators.

The heat and relentless flatness did make the race itself something of an ordeal. But one that I'd subject myself to again.

In short: Excellent organisation and very flat
In full: Organisation and marshalling were great. The course was very flat and quite scenic. Only downside was the heat, but with the flat course that didn't really affect my time. Had a great time!
