In short: Great Race - Highly Recommended - Get yourself down there !!!
In full: A great local race with good facilities and parking.
Start venue very pleasant with a short walk to the start. A few hills to get the heart pumping for the first mile or so. Start is a bit narrow and I was right at the back. Went off to quick again trying to make up ground.
Middle section flat then downhill before hitting the canal. Struggled on the canal as its obviousley flat but at the same time uneven which made a steady pace difficult.
Fast finish for a great T shirt and lucozade.
Must remember to take some change next year for a bacon butty - that was cruel if you hadn't got any money on you.

In full: Tough hill to start followed by a nice sprint downhill before the long run in on the canal side , where , to be honest , the novelty of the lovely scenery soon wears off. However, the marshalling and oraganisation is excellent with a quality t-shirt and plenty of bottles of Lucozade going down far better than the poxy 'goody bags' you normally get. I'll be back for more, it buts a lot of the 'bigger' races to shame - Well done Horsforth Harriers !!

In short: Really enjoyed the day. A race with something for everyone.
In full: A satisfying Sunday morning in the fresh air. Hills not too bad - nor too long. Some roads, some track and some canal running. Plenty of mixed ability participants ensured that our plodding was not done alone. Very friendly marshalls and fellow runners. Shame there was not a good central place for tea and bacon banjos on completion of the run. I would recomend this event to anyone. A perfect example of a local event delivered very well. Will be back next year.

In short: Well done horsforth
In full: Before the start the lucozade lass was superb with the frebies of juice, bars and gells thanks nice one!I then met an old friend from my college days at bratfud and got talking and quite frankly n.early missed the start. The start reminded me of the chevin chase tight compact and no real start off which was dissapointing. This cost me my pb at 44 mins.Having struggled the first km getting past the slower runners i had ground to make up the hills at the first two were great and really enjoyed the canal bit with the barges by our side....welcoming this run was pleasant and scenenic.I missed my pb 1 minute but the tee shirt afterwards made it rewarding.Superb quality technical tee shirt hats off horsforth great mornings runnings well done to everyone i will be back next year nearer the front at the start!

In short: Uphill start was just cruel!
In full: ....But there was enough downhill to make up for it. Tow path was a bit dull Can't really blame the organisers for that though. One problem I found was the narrow path 200 yards from the finish. Slower runners stopped me achieving a PB. No room to overtake. Apart from that, great marshals and nice technical t-shirt. I'll be back.

In short: Good race, friendly marshalls
In full: A water station at the half way point would have been good, especially as it was quite hot in the sun. My own fault for not realising there would be none, I kept scanning the horizon for one!
