In short: oh dear - well intentioned, but a little bit of a fiasco..
In full: The only saving grace for this race was the friendly atmosphere. I appreciate that nobody can factor in Marshals being beaten up - but the results were mixed up too and the team prize initially went to the wrong team. Route markers in red? - they looked like traffic markers. Yellow would be a better choice. The sad fact is, if you are going to charge £12 to enter, you have to provide the service to go with it. That said, I am sure that the organisers will take all this on board and the event will be improved for next year.

In short: Calm Down, Calm Down
In full: Yes there were a few problems with marshalling in the town and yes I didn't get the reassuring feeling of a runners race organised by runners but I thought this race deserves another chance because it has enough elements to be very good. I'd suggest . . .
1. Unambiguous and prominent signage through the town route (out and back).
2. Forget the T-Shirts and memorabilia, genuine runners just don't want it.
3. Measure the course with a Garmin, mine said 6.37 miles.

Oh and the marshalling outside the town centre was first-class by the way.
Loved the super-fast "Scenic 7" style descent.

In short: Its really rather hilly
In full: I didn't experience the problems others have reported with marshalls (although I was towrds the back of the pack)- very nice start to the race winding through the centre of town. Nice touch- traffic stopped to allow runners to cross to footpath. Had the slopes been less steep I might have looked up once in a while to admire the view.

In short: shambolic
In full: terrible organisation, lack of marshalls meant runners going different directions.... twice!, one marshall being driven at and hit, steer well clear and get back to club organised races!

In short: Bit of a mad one and you need to be on your toes in terms of the route - a couple of places could've been slightly clearer. Damned fine all round though

In short: Not enough marshalls in the right places saw many take wrong turnings. All rather chaotic which is a shame

In short: A real challenge. What a view
In full: An excellent race. Mainly clubbers but still fun. Hope to get my t-shirt in the post. Not bothered about the non existant medal.(mentioned in RW info) Marshalling good except for doddery one almost at the end, who didn't seem to know where the finish was.Plentiful water stations, but no oxygen!

In short: Good support and interesting route - without bottlenecks.
In full: Friendly marshals, and racers. Good work in stopping traffic where it was necessary.
