In short: This is well worth making the effort for and a real challenge. h
In full: The race goes like this, the Heavens open, race starts, Fast downhill, long flat look at the scenery, then the Murder mile [you can nearly walk as fast as run the last bit]then teased a bit, oh and now the sting in the tail. Brilliant a must do 10k. Looking forward to next year, sort of.I'll be back.

In short: Fun in a strange way
In full: Have to say that this is a special race. Well signed on arrival, hall tea and cakes for the sheltering 'runners widows', well signed along the way, thought had gone into the three water stations and the shower (but we'd all already had one!). . oh, and a little jaunt uphill after 5k just to keep us on our toes!!

In short: It's a toughy...
In full: First very steep descent mile was tricky in the rain, but the views more than made up for it later - lovely scenery.

Murder Mile really is a bit of a bugger though. And there was a seriously cruel race photographer half-way up it - bet he got lots of grimace shots :)

Will be back next year...

In short: Last half very tough - but overall really enjoyable.
In full: Well organised and signed. Very friendly race, great atmosphere - especially on the murder mile (at least for us slower runners)! Lovely scenery and superb memento. Tea and cakes in the village hall for your support team (long suffering family!). Sense of achievement dulls the ache in the legs.
