In short: Flat course, but windy
In full: This has potential for a PR, however if it's windy, as it was this year, forget about it. Good race though and would do it again.

In short: Strange!
In full: Why strange? Well, this race has the backing of Brooks, is a seaside 10k with over 2000 entrants and a flat course. The Swansea Bay 10k is similar but 10 times value for money. At Swansea you get a t-shirt (sent pre race AND that fits) an excellent medal, fruit, water, certificate and 2 Huge bottles of tre-semme shampoo! All for 15 quid.
Swansea Bay gets voted top of the pile by Runnersworld most years wheras Brighton is falling way behind.
If I were Brooks I'd be worried that my brand was being linked to a cheap and average race that has people talking, but for all the wrong reasons.
One good point though - accurately measured in respect of distance.

In short: OK. Room for improvement
In full: Only saw markers from 4K (bar 1). Plenty of marshals (but more smiles please). No water & disposable medal. Quick though :-)

In short: Cant do anything about the weather. Definite PB potential. That said the Km markers were hardly visible. The opening turn could have been coned further back . Didnt see any water at finish. Medal was as cheap as they come..

In short: Cold!
In full: A very cold day and challenging wind made for a tough course this year. Flat, fast run with definite PB potential and well organised start. Downsides: KM markers are not visible enough, no goody bag and rubbish medal

In short: Another potentially good 10k time spoilt by the weather (at least it kept dry!)
In full: The weather in Brighton is good sometimes! Thank you marshals for braving the weather. Two small points: saw only two KM markers during race 6.5km and 8km. and no water at the finish - or did I miss it in the rush to get back to the car! I will be back and will hope for nice weather.

In short: Better organised, especially the baggage. Thanks to the marshalls for braving the weather.

In short: Freezing conditions made it more difficult than previous years, but still surely one of the year's faster events. Shame about the medal at the end though. I'd be prepared to pay a higher entry fee for a better one.
