In short: Always a good race and nice way to end the year
In full: Enjoyed the race very well organised. Fast course good turnout.

Didnt like the big muddy patch getting onto the field, killed off any chance of a sprint finish.

In short: A good way to end the year
In full: Very good local race, fast course, just one hill near the end, unexpected cross-country section at finish!

In short: Well organised - would do again
In full: Some nice touches. Beer at the end and although not a big beer drinker this went down well on New Years day. The Free photos on the informative web site are a plus if you can be bothered to look through them all. If you like bagpipes this is a race to enter. Could I suggest the organisers put him at the bottom of the hill next time so that you are running away from him rather than toward him up the hill.

In short: Quick race, beer for finishing but a shame the finish sprint was through a wet muddy field
In full: Very quick and a great way to finish the year with a PB or SB.

I have not tried the beer yet as I am not going to drink in January, however it was a lovely touch.

Only down side was the sprint finish at the end was through a wet and muddy field. Luckily I was an early finisher and I would hate to think how bad it could have been at the end - could the club not change the finish spot???

In short: A very pleasant run and good end to the year.
In full: This is a very unassuming local race, which was a pleasure to run. For the flatlands the scenery was fairly pleasant and very rural.

It is a very flat course and has real PB potential. The only slope is at 8.5 km and to be frank if I hadn't been warned about it I might not have noticed it!

The organisation was good and the results were posted on the (informative) website very quickly after the race. Thanks to all concerned.

In short: An excellent end to 2009
In full: Well organised race as ever, and one of the fastest, flattest 10K courses I have ever run. Thank you to all the great marshalls and the beer at the end was appreciated!
Its a shame that only 500 of the 750 entrants showed up, when the race was full back in October. Maybe a number transfer system could be set up, as I know of people who would have liked a place?

In short: Another excellent event. great race and atmosphere
In full: One of my favourite races of the year. I love this event, it's a nice run around the fen countryside, The piper at the top of the hill is a welcome sight as you know you're near the end. Weather was kind to us today and actually felt quite mild once you got going.
And you get a beer at the end of the race:-)

In short: Another thoroughly enjoyable new year's eve jaunt with lots of good times within our club. An excellent way to round off the year and the wonderful piper always makes you push that little bit more, when the legs are flagging...

In short: Excellent post-Christmas wake-up call
In full: It was a very chilly and foggy winter's morning, but excellent organisation, a nice flat course, and a bottle of beer on finishing, made it a great end to 2008. Roll on next year!
