In short: excellent route, nice steady hill at 3km and a steep one at 7km but the big down hill at 5km makes up for it. can't wait until next year

In short: Downton Abbey? Down those hills!!
In full: Fabulous race through glorious scenery. Murderous hills though, and undulating throughout makes this a challenging 10k.Newbury AC do a great job, super-smooth organisation....more please, well done! Odd choice of t-shirt colour? maybe some-one thought after all of those hills we'd be drained and need 'pinking' up?

In short: A cracking trail run
In full: I've been running this race for many years now and love it- always try to do this run, and am a big fan of the infamous murderous hills.
Excellent organisation and marshalling.
The chip-timing is a very welcome addition.

But Oh!
What happened with the t-shirts this year?
Were they washed with a pair of red socks? Pretty grim pink guys!

In short: Make sure you're ready for them thar hills
In full: Beautiful scenery, well organised and a challenging route... Just when you think there can't be any more hills, they stick in a really steep one! It was only 30m climb more than my usual 10k training route, but boy did it seem like double. Lovely weather, friendly marshalls and a slim pb for me. I'll be back (when my legs have forgiven me)!

In short: Quaint little race, hard enough to challenge but well worth doing.
In full: With two killer hills just after the 4 and 7 Km markers and many other 'undulations' this is certainly a testing course.

However the free parking, traffic free route and friendly atmosphere make it a must do on the calendar.

There seemmed to be a fair mix of abilities, and not too many club vests. The winning time was good for the course, but there were plenty of those not so quick that made this event beginner friendly.

All in all? A nice little race!!
