In short: Fast flat course around Dulwich In full: I travelled from Norwich for this, though to be fair that was really because the other half got a place in the Royal Parks Half Marathon! The on the day organisation was ok though as I was a late on line entrant there was sone confusion about my number. There is no secure bag storage which was a slight issue as I was on my own, so I left it in the changing tent, to be fair, it turned out ok. The route is flat and well marshalled, the water station was well run and you pass it twice. Overall I enjoyed it, however you don't get any form of momento or bag, therefore it is expensive. In full: I have done this race for about 10 years & have always loved the local feel to it. Sadly it is now really expensive & has lost much of its charm. Where are the cake stalls??? Nice to have a chipped time but I would rather it wasn't £15. Oh & no goody bag as promised. Kids race was better than in the past & they loved their medal but were also disappointed by the lack of cake! Of course I will do it again - it is my local Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: Race was poorly organsied in comparison to last 2 years In full: Not much attempt by marshalls to stop pedestrians impeding runners on footways Price hiked up with very poor memento Toilets a joke- one set closed for cleaning, the others the women's was blocked so they had to use mens and no toilet paper(a must for a running event!) No popular cakes stand or dispersed bins for rubbish after race Date of review: October 17, 2011

In short: Well organised, good atmosphere, and a technical t-shirt! In full: Well organised and marshalled as ever by Dulwich Runners. About as scenic as it gets for a London race, in and around Dulwich Park, although this inevitably means potential obstacles by way of dogs, children, etc, not to mention narrow sections of pavement, bus stops, etc. on the street sections outside the park. A few inclines, twisty turns and bumpy surfaces mean this is not a lightning fast course, but PB potential if yours is a bit soft! The additional kids' runs and fun-run make for a great atmosphere, and a final bonus of a free t-shirt which you can run in. Not sure lilac is quite my colour but you can't argue with a technical tee as a race memento! Date of review: October 5, 2010

In short: good fun In full: it was a bit wet but a lovely run. Marshals encouraging & it felt like a bigger field than usual. I agree with the last comments about the family fun run but the school ones were great, maybe the under primary school ages should have a half mile one? Fantastic t-shirt - nice one Dulwich Runners Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: great race In full: every year I love this race they haven't yet got the supporting races right yet. the 10k is friendly & fast - nice laps despite the bus-stop & road work problems. the family fun run was tacked on the end & because there was a 2 mile run for high school children, 1 mile for primary children there were few entering the fun run - not least because it was after prize giving (children getting jumpy by this time!!). Please Dulwich my under 7's want to run & my over 11 year old didn't want to do 2 miles.... please please remember us next year!! Date of review: October 3, 2010

In short: Good, fairly flat 10k course In full: First time I've done the Dulwich 10k. Looks like an easy run - no major hills to deal with - but both my partner and I struggled a bit on the day (think that was due to us rather than the course though). I think it is quite a clubby event (backed up by lots of quick times in the official race results), but it won't stop me from doing it again. We ended up near the back, but the marshalls did encourage us on, especially on the last lap. It is a little demoralising when the faster runners lap you on lap 2 (they are already on lap 3) and you know that you still have another lap to go. Thankfully the heavy rain that was forecast didn't start until after we'd finished. We've both said we'll do it again next year and aim for a PB - it should be feasible on this course. In full: as a slower runner i got frustrated towards the end of the race as it seemed like the marshalls were not so interested. i had to argue with a dad whose little girl riding her scooter along the bit of path which runners were using. looked to me like there was plenty of other space they could've used and a marshall would have helped to persuade him rather than me having to slow down to talk to him. seems like the faster runners receive the most attention!
