In short: Magical Forest Madness
In full: Really nice run through wood and parkland, first race of the season and felt it! Incline after incline made it tough for endurance and not much chance of a PB here! well organised and fun though and a huge sense of achievment on completion, good one for the experience and variety plus a wicked free t-shirt at the end!

In short: Tough as ever but with added mud
In full: The last few times I've run this it's been warm or hot. Today it was cold and windy and, as it had rained a lot in the week before, it was muddy. This made a quick time difficult (that's my excuse) but it was great fun. This has become an annual race for me.

In short: Great to have a start and finish on the only same flat piece of Trent Park.
In full: Good organisation - Despite the damp weekend the trail wasn't too trecherous. Since it started and finished on the same flat 1.5 km, you knew what was in store. Nice to have the drink stations as 4 & 8km, although the 8km station had an immediate sharp turn after you'd collected the drink and were trying to neck the water... Possibly dangerous!

In short: shame about the weather - rain made it treacherous under foot in places
In full: Very well organised, great run through parkland, traffic-free. Was a bit undulating, but real problem was it was difficult to get much grip in rather slippery muddy tracks at times. Bit like cross-country, but if it had not rained buckets, it would have been ideal.

In short: Mud glorious mud!
In full: Bit hillier than I had remembered although i have run in Trent Park on numerous occasions! Love the mud and the rain. Everyone was very friendly and it was well organised. I will do it again next year but will put in more hill training beforehand!

In short: Hilly but pleasant surroundings make it worthwhile
In full: Muddy and hilly but great fun. Pleasant surroundings make it well worth the pain. Marshalls (all of them) had words of encouragement
