In short: Third year yet again a good race
In full: Did it as a training run this year, (knee trouble) weather held off so it was a dry run which was great . I travel from ashbourne to do this race and it worth it, I will look forward to next year

In short: Great race - not beginner friendly, because of the 2m climb at the start.
In full: I really enjoyed this run in my home town. Despite knowing the route inside out, the climb up Buncer Lane really was harder than I remember it (20 years since I last ran up it though!)

Once over the 2 miles of climb, you really could open out on the downhills toward Pleasington, which felt great. The wind didn't help in places, but at least it didn't rain.

Marshalls were great and encouraging. I really enjoyed this run and will be back again in the future.

In short: Great organisation and marshalls.
In full: I enjoyed this, and knocked 13 minutes off my PB running it despite falling over a dog! (But then this was only my second 10km, and I did get lost on my first one!) It's hilly, and I don't think is many people's idea of good PB potential, hence my marking it down.

There was a little 'cafe', and a playground, which kept my support amused while I trotted round, which definitely a plus.

Rubbish goody bag (why can't the big people get cool medals like the little people did?) but otherwise a challenging, but good, race that I would definitely do again. I was very much a back runner, but the marshalls were great at cheering us on even then.

P.S. Should either of you read this, thankyou to the fellow runners who took the time to check I was okay after the dog incident, even if the dog owner didn't seem right bothered! It meant a lot. :-)

In full: This was my 2nd attempt at the Winter Warmer. (Last year being my first ever 10k.) The big hill after the 1stK is really challenging. The marshalls are friendly and encouraging and keep you going to best bit... coming down the hills. Nocked 14 minutes off last years time despite missing the turn at the top!

In short: Excellent run through lovely countryside.
In full: A great race through the countryside starting at Witton Park. First 4km are extremely hilly and tough. Well organised and well marshalled. Will do it again next year.
