In short: good pb potential, well organised, friendly race
In full: First time I ran this race and found the course very pleasant mix of road and off road, mainly flat. The organisation and marshalling was excellent. Only improvement would be to have distance to the finish markers near the end - it was a firly long run in from the road and could have easily miss timed things.

In short: A Friendly Well Organised Race
In full: Conditions were ideal, and the turn out of runners was much higher than for previous years. I believe the course was slightly altered from last year, to avoid running the approx half mile cross country, which was probably waterlogged. The Marshalls, as usual, were efficient and encouraging. The only slight whinge I have, is that a 4 x 4 got in between the runners, and a group of us were forced to run behind it for a couple of minutes.
It is certainly a fast course, and I went off too quickly this year, and ended up about a minute slower than last year.
I will definitely be back, and have run it most years since 1986.

In short: Felt great, dry and mild, got PB, what more can I say?
In full: Just a little more. My first time at Lordshill and the course is made for PBs. Broke my 10 mile PB for the second time in 8 days and achieved a "lifetime target" of under 75 minutes. New target required! Well organised, slight confusion over directions to the car park though.

In short: Excellent organisation, lots of club runners!
In full: Really well organised, very enthusiastic marshalls cheering us on, always welcomed. Scenery did little to distract at places (especially the industrial estate!!) and there were far too many club runners taking themselves too seriously. At least try to have fun guys! A very fast race, so not for the slow plodders unless you don't mind coming last....!

In short: Well marshalled flat course.
In full: Well organised enthusiastic marshalling. Flat course with PB potential. Last couple of miles through the industrial estate were a bit uninspiring, but I wasnt focussing on the scenery by then!
I would suggest two improvements for next year: do something about the muddy finish and put the address of the car park, not the start on the entry form, as lots of people were turning up at the wrong place.

In short: A very well organised race.
In full: This race goes to show what organisers can do to keep a good race going, change the route, do away with the police, put enough marshalls on the course and let the runners go. All runs like clockwork, well done lordshill and thank you for an enjoyable race. No frills or fancy stuff, just a good solid 10 miles, last 200meters offroad was a bit dicey.

In short: A well organised & enjoyable club race.
In full: This is a no frills good club race, very well organised by the Lordshill club. My second year here, & a pb, will be back again next year. One final thought to ponder folks.....do real runners really look at the scenery while running?
