In short: Where else can you get a great course with pipers at every turn, excellent free food, quality mug and friendly atmosphere and all for 6 quid?
In full: Leave your watch at home and just enjoy this tough but very scenic race. After battling your way up a challenging hill in the first mile or so you will then have two miles of downhill through the woods to half way. From there on in the course is flat as the route winds back along a gravel track alongside the River Earn. After you finish, stay around for an excellent feed of sandwiches, homemade cakes and pots of tea. And the results were up on the website the same day!

In short: A brilliant race. It has all the makings of an excellent day. Well organised, friendly organisers (strathearn harriers).
In full: Some tough stages, a piper pipes you towards the end, excellent feed too and showers. What more could you ask for? I have run it the last 3 years and even plan my summer break around it!

In short: Had a great time, interesting course, great views, massive charm factor about it and the pipes are fantastic
In full: This was a really feel good event from the relaxed atmosphere to the great touch the pipes bring. Loved the course nicely challenging with some great views when the gaps opened in the trees at between 3 and 5km. With the exception of the less than perfect signposting when coming into Crieff I struggle to find any other faults with it. The day was really hot which meant the after race food and picnic thatwas laid on was perfect. Many thanks to the organisers and volenteers. I look forward to next year

In short: Really good race - signposts in Crieff giving directions would help though.

In short: Tough course but fantastic scenery. Not PB potential.
In full: Very friendly, well organised race. Great feed afterwards. Tough hill from 1km onwards scuppered my ideas of a PB.

In short: I did set a 10k PB, guess it must have been the pipers!
In full: Only my 2nd ever race, and a lot tougher than my 1st (flat road race), but still managed to better my time. Weather conditions were perfect, and all the pipers were a huge encouragement.

In short: One of the most enjoyable races I have ever done, I wouldn't say it was easy but so well organised and extremely good value for money. AND whoever made the buffet is a saint. fabulous. See you next year.
