In short: Change of route this year, windy & hilly, lots of drinks & sponge stations
In full: Lots of drinks stations, brilliant. I wasn't so keen on the change of route felt like the cars were really close so did run on the pavement at times. Route is very dull if you are local. But nice towel at the end, well organised.

In short: Slick organisation and good route make for a great day out.
In full: The organisation for this race was spot on. Numerous road crossing could of been a nightmare but an excellent number of marshallers made for no troubles at all. Very hot day made for a tough day out. Far from flat course that following a loop close to the start before heading down to Portland Bill lighthouse meant a long 2.5 mile uphill drag back to the start. So not much chance of a pb. Loads of water stations that also included sponges helped with the heat. Received a towel which was different and useful! Would be more than happy to come back next year. Well done.

In short: How many water staions !!
In full: Turned up a bit early & was getting a bit concerned about the organisation, my own fault. As organisers got settled everything worked excellently. Plenty of water stations with lots of water available at each, A varied undulating course through villages, countryside & a memorable run to the Bill. Was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of spectators cheering everyone on. Nice memento, makes a nice change from the usual. (OK, t-shirts are good but it's nice to have something a bit original)

In short: extremely good course
In full: The portland 10 mile race has a extremely good course and loads of hills to play with.
The Marshalling and water Stations where exactly where i wanted them to be and really glad for the water too as it was a HOT morning, the prize was a nice embroided towel and lovely colour too and i would like to return back next year to see if i can beat my timings.

In short: Wonderfully varied course and views - fantastic
In full: How varied a course you rotate round the isle looking at Weymouth, English channel, Portland bill, Chesil beach, passing from town, to dune, to estate, to seaview, running up, sweeping down, undulating and then UP plus UUUPPP - the front group made it feel a real race. Great organisation, fantastic quality towel as a momento, 6 water and sponge stops in 10 miles (thankfully considering the heat), loads of prize categories and a PB, I loved it all. Thanks

In short: Hard work but amazing scenery
In full: Travelled from Basingstoke to do this run as i had great memories of Portland Bill. As i remembered, it was very hilly especially miles 7 - 10. It was very hot this year and it seemed there was only a breeze on the downhill part so running to and from the light house was particularly difficult for me, the sea views and Portland Bill made up for that however. Amazing view of Chesil beach at the top too. Plenty of stewards and water/sponge stations, very well organised. Embroidered towel was a nice change from a medal. Will definately do it again.

In short: The last 3 miles are all uphill!
In full: A lovely, friendly race with great views and some challenging long hills. Missed the jelly babies by the lighthouse this year but enjoyed the sunshine and all the local support. I'll be back next year.

In short: Great fun 10 miler, friendly and good value
In full: A regular local training route for me but my first time in this event. Very well organised, loads of water and sponge stations more than welcome in the heat. The last two miles are tough, but you do get to run downhill for 3 miles before, it's a good challenging circuit that's well supported.
