In short: Looking forward to next year
In full: First ever 10k. Thought there would be more runners - 2109 according to the results. Thought it was all good except for the bottle necks which happened a few times and people walking side to side in groups of two-three through these narrow areas making it difficult to over take. Goody bag was great as was T-shirt, just a little big though, serves me right for finishing so slow!!

In short: enjoyable experience, hope they organise it better for 2008
In full: I have done this race 6 times and the organisation could have been better. The bottlenecks were a real problem if you were trying to do a PB. I only knopw there were 2 goody bags from posts here, wonder what was in the second one? Overall I enjoyed it despite the complaints

In short: Overall a nice race - but too many bottle necks makes it quite slow.

In short: Great atmosphere, lovely scenery
In full: Great race overall. Couple of gremlins - paths a bit narrow in parts and delay waiting for chiptime on the internet.

In short: Whose the IDIOT?!
In full: Did this jog around the park yesterday, it seems that very few of lessons from last year have been learnt, the route was downright dangerously congested in some parts.

As for the chaos to get a t-shirt, it resembled something from a UNICEF airdrop in a war torn country! And after finally getting one, for a while I thought it said IDIOT on it!! Maybe we are all idiots for putting up with this shambles again. No more for me though.

Get this race back on the road where it belongs and do something about the appalling organisation. Thought with ACIS sponsoring this may have been a better race, but sadly not.

In short: Well organised, friendly, excellent day out
In full: This was my first race, and I was very impressed with the organisation and the wonderful atmosphere (plenty of people cheering us on). The medal, t-shirt and (2) goody bags were fab.

The only complaint I had was people ignored the time boards and there were an awful lot of slower runners that started by the sub 45 - sub 50 min boards, which meant had to spend most of the race trying to get past people on a very narrow course, just to make the finishing time I was aiming for.

Overall though, i'd recommend this race, I had a really good day out :-)

In short: One for the girls
In full: A great race, as everyone has said, crowded to start and too narrow in places. The start and finish had a great atmosphere, probably helped by the fact that it was all ladies. Impressed with the goody bag, medal and t-shirt. I came over from Manchester to do it, and would definitely do it again next year.
