In short: Fun race on a scenic course with small and friendly field
In full: This is what local races should be about: Entertaining course, well organised, friendly, unpretentious.
No, it is not flat, but unless you're after a PB, that makes it more fun.

In short: Well organised race...and the new route is very good
In full: I like this route much more than the previous two I've experienced. The scenery is better and one lap is always better. I can't agree with Dave Wallace [see previous rater] that there was only one hill at 2k and it was flat apart from that. There was a long [but not steep] hill at 2k but I would say it definitely undulated throughout after that. It was well organised and even the slight hold-up at the start was handled well. Marshals were excellent, especially at the underpass near Parkway station where we had to cross a small road. I'll be back next year.

In short: Good course to run especially through Luton hoo. Challenging hill at 2k although after that fairly flat course including big decline. Marshals are very friendly and supportive, would definitely do this again

In short: Undulating scenic run with a great atmosphere
In full: My first race, so not got anything to base my opinions against but the atmosphere right through from registration to the very end was chilled but organised (all of which helped quell the pre race nerves)
The course was mostly off the roads and the scenery helped take my mind off the fact that i seemed to climb more than descend.
Overall a great introduction and I'll definitely be back next year.

In short: Challenging scenic course
In full: The race HQ and facilities were very good and easy to get to by road or train.

The course was more challenging than I expected. After a brisk first 2Ks the hill in the 3rd K slowed things down quite a bit.
The cycle path section along the old railway line had quite a few undulations (notably where the old over-bridges had been removed).

I would do this race again, but next time I think I would take the first 2K slower, so that the hill is a bit easier and also leave a bit more in reserve for the undulations in the last 3K.

Well organised and well marshalled throughout, with the majority of the route traffic free.

In short: A new - demanding - course
In full: The new one lap course, whilst challenging is a huge improvement over the previous three-lap arrangement.
