In short: Great multi-terrain race - and a nice change to Saturday! In full: My 3rd running of this race, and I'm very glad I made the effort to enter despite one of my other favourite races being the following day in the next county and 20 miles long!! Super marshalling as usual: thanks to all, especially those who brought along the jelly babies - they are much needed in this race! Will certainly be back next year: will it remain on a Sautrday and will it be September or October??
PS Thanks to whoever cleared most of the flints off the beach this year - that really helped!! Date of review: October 26, 2009
In short: One of the best runs so far! In full: Expected a challenge underfoot, and wasn't really sure about the 15 miles at this time of year, but not only did I have no major issues, the run was terrific! Beautiful day increasingly sunny as the race progressed, and ideal for a run - if you overlook the strong headwind on the return last mile or two. I discovered parts of the coast I had never seen before, and the route was well thought out with some nice surprises along the way. It was clearly marshalled. Well done to organisers. Thanks Date of review: October 12, 2009
In short: A superb event that everyone should have a go at In full: This event really does deserve a place on your yearly itinery. The organisation is excellent and the marshalls couldn't be friendier. Forget your PB (who has one for 15 miles anyway) just go for the scenery and the challenge. I would recommend this race to anyone. GIVE IT A GO. Date of review: October 11, 2009
In short: Soft sand, Hard sand, Wet sand, rocks, flints, chalk, dunes, steps and a small amount of tarmac, a very challenging course that needs preperation before entering, not for the faint hearted. Fantastic organisation, great marshalls, a cracking race Date of review: October 10, 2009
