In short: well worth the long drive down from London
In full: weather very similar to my first time, except considerably warmer. It's a lovely run, with superb views out to sea, especially when the rain began to clear on the return leg. superb marshalling, in particular the lady who kept reappearing
to cheer folk on. Thanks!

In short: Challenging wet and windy run by the sea
In full: After the freak weather conditions of last year (ie calm and not raining) we were treated to another classic Thanet 10 backdrop of driving rain on the way out and "challenging" headwinds on the way back. But, hey, this is December by the seaside.

Despite the bad weather quite a few PB'd here which was surprising. It is a fast and flat course with just a couple of short inclines. As with all Thanet Roadrunners' races the organisation and marshalls are first class. On a calmer day this course is a PB dream.

In short: It blew hard, it rained, but what do you expect - this is the Thanet 10!
In full: Cards face up, I am a member of TRAC the organisers, so you all know where I am coming from.

This race is held in December, on the windswept coast of Thanet, and most of those who run it know what to expect. It is a challenge when it is windy, but if you didn't like a challenge you wouldn't be running, would you? I enjoy this race BECAUSE of the weather, not in spite of it and I am pretty sure others do too. This course has great PB potential, especially if the wind does hold off.

Despite what the lady 2 or 3 reviews back stated Thanet IS a friendly club and you only need to trawl through past reviews to confirm that. So don't let one bad review put you off.

In short: Very well organised and marshalled.
In full: Nice to be able to enter on the day, but £16 is too much.

In short: Nice race. Will come back next year but hope for better weather conditions
In full: I enjoyed this one, just a shame about the appalling weather. well organised, nice goodies at the end and some really good encouragement on the way round. Just one hill to speak of so has good potential for a quick time, will try again next year.

In short: Enjoyable, but not the friendliest club
In full: I found the rudeness of the organiser (lady with laptop and short dark hair) quite unnnecessary when I explained my purse was in my bag and would she kindly put it behind the desk. Particularly unwelcoming and rude when it was clear several mambers of her club were benefitting from this service. Understood property was left at my own risk, but reaction not the best start to my morning.

In short: A great 'end of year' race, nice and flat, welcoming marshalls and runners.
In full: A really good race to end the year.

Flat(ish) and straight round the seafront, with asmall number of supportive specators, and a large number of fantastic marshalls.

Friendly atmosphere from the other runners, and overall a great race.

In short: Great flat run with the sea in view nearly all the way
In full: A nice friendly well organised race. The sea is in view for 99% of the time and the wet and windy weather all add to the atmosphere and made it great fun.

The marshalls offered great support all the way - thanks.

In short: At least the wind and rain eased off - it made the return route much easier than I feared and meant the time I tried to get in the bag went towards knocking nearly 8 mins off my PB! Sterling work from the marshalls, as always. .
