In short: Decent race in perfect running weather
In full: The start was very congested for the first half kilometer due to the 5 & 10K starting together. It was also pretty difficult to overtake in places which doesnt make it a PB course in my opinion. Overall this was an enjoyable morning though. Liked the later start, friendly marshalls, goody bag and medal.

In short: All for charity, but.........
In full: First time running this one. Reading reports on previous years suggest there have been improvements but I certainly encounted problems. On two occasions I either went the wrong way or had to stop and ask for clarification as to the correct route. It is the first time I have ever had problems in any of my races. This is unacceptible.

In short: Good 10k run with a good turn out.
In full: I thought this was a good race, not the easiest but the route was good and it was very well organised. I will do this 10k again next year. I was told this had improved from last year by people there and I got a PB so I am pleased.

In short: My first 5k - extremely enjoyable
In full: I had read reviews of last year and it sounded awful - was pleasantly suprised by the slick organisation - good start and friendly marshalls - will be there next year trying the 10k

In short: A good race
In full: This was the first time I've done this race,I'd read some horror storys about it but these where not repeated this time.
I found the route was a mixed bag of road, trail and parkland, which where challanging at times.
What a shame that the organisers could not take us around Walsall's jewel in the crown Arboretium lake and park. Although I know the three front runners of the 5k inadverdantly ran around the lake adding an unexpected 2k onto their run costing them a top 3 spot.
Goody bags that where handed out are a thing of the past now ,much better to have drinks and fruit which people can help themselves to. The Aldridge 10k did this and was a great success. All in all this is not a bad race that i would do again.
