In short: Very friendly & well organised race round country lanes
In full: The organisation was wonderful and exceptionally friendly. The route was signposted with no chance of going wrong. A larger field of runners would make it more beginner friendly I suppose but apart from that it was a really nice day out that I thoroughly enjoyed. Many thanks to the wonderful people who were organising :)

In short: As a non local I was made to feel very welcome at this village run.
In full: First time at this event whilst visiting an aged P in the Westcountry. A remote village setting (with no pub!) but very friendly organisers and a small (30?) bunch of runners/joggers/walkers of varying abilities. The well signposted route around the country lanes was undulating and quite demanding in a few places.
If I am in Devon at the same time next year I will definitely be doing this one again. Free entry to the run with voluntary contributions going towards the repair of the local church roof was a nice touch.

In short: Excellent local fun run with big hills and a small field - first time I've ever finished in the top 10!
In full: This is a definite must for next year. The hills are hard enough to let you know you've had a good run, but the distance is short enough that it doesn't knock you out for the rest of the day.

This is obviously a local village community run, with everyone knowing everyone else - but everyone was very friendly and even cheered me on as I overtook them! There can't be many races where the start is delayed by ten minutes so people who turn up at the start time can register and set off with everyone else. I'm not sure how many entered but I stayed to cheer everyone back - and it seemed so did most of the others.

I'll definitely be back next year - and I'll have practised a few more hills. There's no way I'll knock the runner off the top spot but I can try to get into the top 3 next ;-).

Excellent value at £5 to enter, low key organisation but as good as some of the more expensive ones I've attended.

In short: Great fun! Lovely, friendly community event - but a tough course with challenging hills.

In short: Very friendly local event well supported by the village community. Some tough hills. Suprised to get a medal as entry fee only £4. Yummy cake at finish!

In short: very friendly local race for local runners!
In full: very much a village event with lots of support and excellent spread afterwards - dare I say, too much drink?! Distance markers next year would be much appreciated.
