In short: Regular Xmas run that has become an annual tradition
In full: I love this race, its fantastic to blow the cobwebs away on Boxing Day and is in a great location with a fantastic atmosphere. The organisation is always pretty good especially considering the date.
The race can be run pretty quick but there is a good mix of club runners and fun runners with a nice smattering of fancy dress runners as well. The only downside is the ongoing issue of the course route as the weather invariably affects it one way or the other but the organisers usually deal with this so at least there is a run come what may. And its also pretty cheap, under a tenner.
All in all a really fun race for Christmas and I love running it every year.

In short: Really Enjoyable
In full: I like this race, its on boxing day, does not take itself too serioulsy and you get a mince pie and some mulled wine at the end. The course is fun, round the race course and some of the walls. would be great to go all the way round. But still a lot of fun, and thanks to the marshalls and organisers,

In short: Current course not as good as full Walls version
In full: Due to problems with the Roman Wall crumbling this year course changes meant that almost half the race is on two laps of Chester Race course. The old version was mostly on the Walls and this is a far better course. Hopefully one day the original course will be back in the future. One last point, I hope the organisers can get parking on the race course sorted as public parking is a bit of a nightmare.

In short: A unique race in a beautiful city
In full: There is no race like this. The route is unique to say the least. 2 laps of a horse race course, many steps as you adventure up and down city walls and canal tow paths await along the way. Because of this it is definately not a race for speed or PB attempts, but if you're looking for a friendly race, set within beautiful city surroundings over the festive period then its one to consider.

In short: Well organised and very enjoyable
In full: A family Boxing Day tradition, as enjoyable as every other year. A must for any non-serious runner.

In short: Well done to everyone in organizing this race will be back again next year.
In full: It was a bit worrying that I was overtaken by someone who I thought had died years ago namely Elvis Pressley but that taken into consideration what a great morning for the race weather was fine and plenty of encouragement was given by the crowd and officials alike. This will go down oon my calendar for 2009.

In short: perfect conditions made for great atmosphere.
In full: i'm sure some runners will be unhappy at the public getting in the way at times on the walls, but the great weather brought out the crowds. this race can be hit or miss depending on the conditions and this year it was certainly a hit. i learnt from last year that walking and not running up the steps is the way to go for the lesser runner and its just as fast. i hope next year the full circuit of the walls will be used and the weather is as good.

In short: great fun!
In full: good atmosphere, well marshalled, lots of fun. could have done without finishing with another lap of the racecourse, but that could have been the effects of christmas day's over indulgence kicking in :-)
would definitely do it again.

In short: Good Boxing Day run
In full: Enjoyed this race but might have enjoyed it more had I not (ahem!) - overindulged as much on Christmas Day! We were lucky with the weather though heavy rain from previous days made the field very boggy - realised too late I should have worn my trail shoes!
A number of runners made the effort to don fancy dress (Batman and Robin, race jockeys on inflatable horses, etc!) which I thought added to the festive atmosphere.
Glad I entered this - a decent post-Christmas workout!
