In short: A must in my calendar!
In full: I like how it's midweek instead of Sunday morning as I run better in the evenings. Nice distance - although with it being short it's hard to judge what pace you should do it at if you've not trained specifically for 5miles. The hills are challenging but nothing to be scared of.

In short: A two lap hilly 5 miler
In full: A well organised race that's ok for a mid-week fast one. I wouldn't say that it's PB material though, with the first mile all up hill and the third mile on the second lap really taking it out of you.
Well organised and well marshalled at a nice venue. The only thing I would say that they need to look at is the prizes, only first three male and females and only one Vet prize per every ten years!

In full: Enjoyed race but found the last bit along lake side a bit boring as it seemed to go on forever. Main gripe it is now a week since the race and I still have not been able to find the results I e-mailed no reply. To all race organizers please put on your site how to find the results after the race, I have spent ages with no luck and it spoils the feel of the event.

In short: Think the situation with the large number of people who couldnt neter on the nightt could have been handled better. After all these peoplee have travelled to support the race
In full: I know there may have been a problem with one persons age catergory delaying the prize giving, but its just unacceptable to wait so long without any indication of when it was going to begin. Many runners carshare and travel together and its unfair to have those hang around for so long. I used to be aggrieved when I saw prize winners had already gone home before the presentation but now i can see why, as this is happening more and more at races...If time contraint is an issue than just hand out trophies to first few finishers after crossing the line and post out all vouchers to remaining prize winners a few days later when final results are verified.

In short: quick course and good atmosphere. Enjoyed race
In full: WET WET WET, but course quick. Down hill sections seemed to out number hilly parts making it a good route for a pb.

In short: First time at the 5 Mile and Enjoyed it.
In full: I did the 3 mile last year, but decided to go further this time, hill on second time around was a tough one, but got felt good and got a faster than expected time so pleased. Paperweight was something different. Will be back next year.

In short: The rain didn't dampen the experience!
In full: A map of the route beforehand would have been useful - some clubs put this on their website.

In short: good race but 2 laps and the out and back at the end
In full: Last year a number of people entered on the day, but as is common with a lot races now, they were full. It didn't seem there were 500 running - think a number of people stayed away because of the weather. Also a number of runners (I was with 2) who had to collect their race no on the night and we all had applied roughly at the same time.
Very wet evening but still pleasant enough to run. Not a great fan of 2 laps especially when you know you have the hill again. Being honest, I didn't like the end part of the race where you have to go down a path one side and return the other - it felt like it went on forever
Decided to wait for presentations but left at 8:45pm.
Overall though a good race, paperweight for running and a bar with food available at the end.
