In short: Fantastic atmosphere, lovely setting
In full: Despite very hot day, still very enjoyable. Great BBQ, ice creams, tea & coffee, beer, cakes, stalls, live music, everyone very welcoming & friendly.

In short: Ouch
In full: Hills, heat and crosswinds, could break a beginner, and saw lots walking.
Great organisation, plentiful cold water, nice medal, BBQ, entertainment and lots of runners stayed on afterwards. Would like to do again in cooler conditions

In short: Hot but worth it
In full: Turned up on the day, paid the entry fee without fuss, good course with some mild hill challenges. Just did the 5 mile race. The after race fare was great and very friendly. Worthwhile event. The 10 miler would have been very challenging in the heat.

In short: Lovely race, well organised, a little challenging
In full: Well marshalled race. On the day the wind got up. Good mixture of road and track/trail. I dare you to find a race that offers better value for money!

In short: Too tough on a windy day
In full: Only a small locally organised race so had a nice feel to it.
My biggest issue was that although it was quite scenic, parts of the route were very exposed to the elements. On a very windy day like today it made it so tough. The wind was so strong it ripped part of my race number off!
There were also long stretches of the route which had no marshals, I understand that it might be hard to get enough people to help but going over 2 miles on open roads without seeing one was a bit unsettling.
Everything else seemed fine though, they provided free parking very close to the start, had a nice race village & had 3 water stations. Bargin price & a medal too.
