In short: Run the Wingham 10k for the most original medal you can get!! :)
In full: This is my first time I run the Wingham 10k and not it left a lovely impression. The course is not flat neither very hilly but sometimes it's just those long long long inclines which takes it out on you, they seemed to last forever but I am sure that the extremely warm weather conditions 28c made it more challenging.
Friendly marshals and overall good atmosphere. Easy to find and easy to park. Free massage gazebo and food mini van, for those waiting.

There were two water stations one very early (for those doing the 5k) and one very late (I think about 8.85K?) I would have preferred if there had been one at like 6/7k.

Thank you Wingham Trotters and see you next year.

In short: Lovely rural race. This year a bit hot for running comfort.
In full: I've done all of these since 2009,so I obviously think it's a good event.

Great scenery, surprised this year at how undulating the course actually is,the hot weather seemed to accentuate it.The warm weather was a bonus after the run, relaxing on the lawns with some food and fluid was very nice. The results seemed to take a while to be posted,Tuesday for a Sunday event?

Still, I'll look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Frindly, well organized event.

In short: Would have been even better if cooler!
In full: Only started running this spring and only my second 10K, so suffered a bit from the heat and finished about 6 minutes slower than first attempt at this distance. It also made the hills seem steeper and longer, and limited the recovery on the downhills. But nice friendly race, well signed and marshalled and the water sprays at the second water station were most welcome.

Will be back, as only a few miles down the road, and want to prove that I can do this course in a reasonable time (for me).

In short: So Hot!
In full: A very picturesque course which is undulating but no killer hills. Well stewarded from the car park to those out on the roads. Just a small qualm....First drinks station was ridiculous, the two ladies had no chance of keeping up with the runners and it was needed on such a hot day.

In short: Do not under estimate this course!
In full: A really good race with great atmosphere and good support. Thankfully this year the warm weather joined in and made for a glorious run through the countryside although I know alot of people suffered because of this, but it made a change from shivering on the start line, and I do enjoy the heat.

In short: Well organised race run through beautiful scenery - but oh dear ... the heat!!
In full: Fauiltless organisation and this would be a great race but for the heat yesterday. The undulations work against you in the first half of the race but ther's a smooth ride down in the second half and much of the last k or so are downhill-ish. I just found the heat too much for me and struggled - but that was my fault not the race!

In short: A bit of a shock at the start with the longest hill for any beginner!
In full: This is my second 5k. I am a heavy runner and have only been running since Feb but can run about 9k on the flat (slowly). Not done much hill work yet either. Lost the plot with the first hill. It wasn't even that hard but I wasn't prepared and found that I rebelled a bit as it wasn't what I signed up for in my mind! Learned a valuable lesson and finished 7 minutes slower than my first 5k (doh!!!). Will do again next year to celebrate slaying some demons! Friendly and well organised but if you are a weighty beginner make sure you know what you have singed up for in this fairly undulating but scenic race.

In short: Was the Devil in the Detail.
In full: The sun didn't shine on Wingham this year until most had set off home.

Classic mistake in the lack of Loos for the girls.

Failure to provide chip timing is reprehensible. The start is down a narrow lane for the nearly 400 to stampede. Slow guys need to get close to the front so not to sacrifice PB opportunities. Fast guys don't need the emotional distress. Big mistake.

Failure to get the results out within 24 hours a total disappontment .... especially for those of us wanting to get copy into the newspapers in good time.

So much that is good damaged greatly by such fundamental flaws.

In short: A rurual undulating course but without any big hills. Very well organised with freindly marshalls. Good as a first time race or for more experienced runners

In short: My 3rd time. Excellent as ever. Lovely scenery. Rain was touch and go but held off most of the time. Great day for everyone. Many thanks!
