In short: nice atmosphere,dodgy roads
In full: got stuck in road waiting for two cars to pass on a narrow section, dodgy bends and a bit too much road work on roads still open to traffic and no pavements!

In short: First time - Loved every minute of it !
In full: Thankfully the lovely location and views take your mind off some challenging climbs and the mixed terrain. Difficult underfoot in places (rocks, sand) but well worth the effort. Definately be back next year!

In short: Glorious if you take time to look around you
In full: Loughrigg Terrace. Probably the most glorious 1k stretch you could wish for. Was expecting a few dozen supporters at the finish but was surprised with the high turnout. Value 5 out of 5 as it's a charity fundraiser. More tarmac than expected but that was probably a relief for some

In short: First trail race
In full: Started running about 9 months ago to prepare specifically for this race after being told about it by family in the Lakes. Following a 1/2 marathon and a 10km, this was my main focus, and wanted to go undr 50 minutes, so was delighted with 49:22 which was good for 20th place. Hope the rumours aren't true and it run again next year, because I want to better that time!!!

In short: Hot & Hilly
In full: Nicely organised race, great views. More than two water stations would be better, certainly when the weather is in the mid 20's. Would do again if just for the scenery.
