In short: Wonderful scenery and very well marked (especially given the previous evening's weather). I said never again at the end of the race, but I'll already planning my training for next year's race.r)

In short: Challenging, scenic, and vastly underrated.
In full: First-timer at this event, and it won't be my last. A long, challenging, scenic run, which caters for all standards, even me. The Jelly-Babies & jelly-beans at all six,(yes, six!!!) water stops were a cracking touch, which really helped. Should be better supported, as this is an unsung gem on the running calender.

In short: By far the most scenic race I've ever done, lovely scenery to distract me from my aching legs! Really good fun and friendly atmosphere, they don't mind if you're a bit slow and there's a nice tea shop near the start and finish!

In short: This race deserves to be one of the most popular of its type in Britain.
In full: This is a wonderful race that deserves a much bigger entry. All credit to Dic (and his army of helpers) for putting on a weekend of trail running. The long event is a great challenge through inspiring scenery. If you don't fancy the full distance find some friends to do it as a relay. The fact that it is also available as a challenge walk means that even if you are new to this sort of race and distance it doesn't matter if you are slow, you will have company and there are dozens of marshalls and lots of feed stations on route. The start/finish has great facilities and is a lovely campsite if you want to stay over and enjoy the full weekend. This race deserves to be one of the most popular of its type in Britain.

In short: Hellrunner has got nothing on this
In full: I stupidly thought it was called Devil's Race coz it started in Devil's Bridge - how wrong was I. Didnt bargain on it being half as tough as it was but excellent sense of achievement when it was over.

In short: Beautiful Race - ticks all the boxes.
In full: I am going to try and be objective here as I was actually involved in the organisation.
Tough 18 miler with nasty surprises (steep hills) just when you could do without them. Well marshalled, well provided for in terms of water, dried fruit and jelly babies. A wide variety of surfaces throughout(road flats were adequate though), one of the most beautiful places I have run. Only slight gripe is prize giving took a while (lots of prizes though). Lots of nosh afterwards. Great day out!

In short: Well organised and good value.
In full: Very tough run shame that more runners don't take this race on. It would be nice to have some company other than the sheep. Dic Evans and his team do a great job in putting on this race and obtaining enough event sponsorship to send virtually everyone away with some sort of prize.

The scenary is particulary beautiful.
