In short: Fantastic race, excellent marshalling, especially the marshall at the end of the beach. Definitely would do it again.

In short: my first multi-terrain race, I ache in new places and I was nearly sick at the end. I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful Place. Give it a go xx
In full: Glorious run as the weather was marvellous. I was grinning for the first few miles then it got quite tough as this was my first multi terrain. But now i know what to expect I am looing for another.
The organisation was a bit dubious. I havent entered many races and didnt get an acknowledgement that my application had gone in (do you normally get one?) So I thought i would contact someone to find out if i was in the race. I emailed twice and no reply. I found a sospan number on the internet and called. Fair play they did phone me back to say my application was in and to be picked up on the day and not to worry as i could of entered on the day anyway!!!!! Both things new to me, but at least they called back.
The marshalling on the day was fantastic and very brave as they must of been freezing. However, at mile 9 a crowd of us went the wrong way. Luckily someone realised and we headed back to find our route and another marshall. One of the older guys played hell. I hope it was only our little crowd that went wrong and it didnt happen to any others.
Other than that i will be back next year, It was worth it to see my 16 month old and 4 year old at the end and feel like a super mum for 2 minutes!!!!!!

In short: It's the course that makes this event - simply stunning, and very runnable.
In full: The increased fee, no-entry-on-day (although they did actually accept entries on the day) and the introduction of time limits have spoilt the atmosphere of this race. Although, the momento did live up to reputation for naff-ness - it's shaped like one of those mats they have on the bar! Still - that said, the weather held up, and the course was great.

In short: Enjouable 10 Mile Jaunt in Forests and on the Beach.
In full: :-)

Not to be missed, this is one of the best races about in South Wales. Two thirds are in the forest with playful undulations, then there is a mile and a half on the beach which is either hard or easy depending on which way the wind is whipping, because believe me the wind is always whipping in Pembrey.

See you next year !

:-)

In short: Another great race by Sospan RR
In full: Second time for me - not much gets me out of bed early on a Sunday when it's pouring down and blowing a gale - but for this, it's worth it!
Cross-wind on the beach made it tricky, but all the same, it's a great course with every kind of terrian thrown at you!
Was really well marshalled too -probably more comfortable running than being stood for ages in the cold and wet!
One gripe - the start time should be given as "10:45-ish", delays always happen, but please let us know when we're likely to start?(It could easily have been lashing down)

In short: challenging multi terrain race that has a bit of everything
In full: The weather added to the fun, especially for those runners at the back (like me)who had the worst of it. Felt really sorry for the marshall on the beach who was being blown over by the gusts.
Second time I have done this race and will be back for more in future years.
