In short: A suitable challenge - an opportunity to exploit the beauty of the west. In full: Not a race for soft centres. Scott started the race, Grav watched from above. Stradey was silent. The sun shone. Thanks Sospan. Thanks Scott ........ thanks .... Grav. Date of review: November 28, 2007
In short: glorious sunshine, fantastic course, excellent organisation In full: The sunny weather helped but this is one of the most varied, scenically-stunning races I have run (along with the May Magic Roundabout race in Hay on Wye!). The 1 and a half miles along the beach were hard but beautiful. Only the slight delay at the atart marred the slick organisation. Course was well signed and thanks are due to the brilliant marshalls - smiley, encouraging and clearly showed the way well in advance. Thank you to all involved I will be back next year. In short: P for Pembrey, P for perfect. In full: First time on this one, and was pleasently surprised. Great course, challenging enough to let you know about it. Marshalls, marshalls everywhere, but distance markers a bit suspect. Loved the cheeky beach section, just what I needed after 7 miles!! Goody bag not-so-goody though. See what it's like next year. In short: not as much of a challenge as the Elan Valley 10 was the day before In full: a good course with the run along the beach making up for the low number of climbs Date of review: November 26, 2007
In short: a classic multi terrain race In full: this is one to do year after year - fabulous well marked, well marshalled testing course with beautiful scenery. an excellent field , family friendly location and good facilities. see you all next year Date of review: November 26, 2007
In short: Beautiful scenery combined with a challenging course and great organisation made it a lovely event In full: Not sure about the mile markers (4.48 first mile?!) but other than that, a great race. Really enjoyed the hills and mix of terrains and scenery, happy to clock sub 60 minutes Date of review: November 25, 2007
In short: can they book that weather every year? In full: once again the sospans put on a cracker of a race. great venue, challenging, but not too hard course for all abilities, and great marshalls, only gripes would be that some of the mile markers were way out - scared myself silly by running a 6-15 1st "mile", and also goody bag was very sparse - bring back the hats!!
well done all organisers - your pa announcer is the best! Date of review: November 25, 2007
