In short: Well worth the triip....
In full: A bit of a problem with the parking due to not being able to go on the field, but having got a space on the verge up the road all was well.
Very busy venue with swimming, fencing and the triathlon finishing but no clear route to guide you to race registration, that aside a most enjoyable run cut a little short due to the weather as explained at the race brief, very fast first mile and a fairly slower following three with a decent into the town after.Plenty of people around for the last mile and a half.
Chip timing and a medal all for under a fiver.

In short: A Tough Hilly Race around Senic Much Wenlock
In full: ..but worth geing a go for the feel you are part of a bigger event that just a run, as there are alsorts of events that are happeining at the start finish from Cricket, athletics to Triathlon!

Generally up hill and very steep in sections for the first 4 and a bit miles before it flattens out and the last 3 miles are downhill and flat, with an off road woodland section and down hill to the finish.

Organisiation was good, and would have been difficult to get lost!

Only costs £2 to get in, and this year all entrants got a Bicentenical medal at the end to Celebrate the 200 years of the Wenlock Olympics.

In short: The Olympic Dream is Alive and Well in Shropshire
In full: The 7 Mile Road Race is a number of events run over the weekend by the Wenlock Olympian Society, so there's something for your family to do whilst you're out on the road. The route is well marked, with plenty of marshalls, and one water station halfway through. The route winds its way up for about 4 miles (with a very sharp hill at Wyke). The last three miles are pretty much downhill, ending with a much welcome tree covered route, followed by a sprint finish (yeah, right) onto the playing fields.

In short: Well-kept secret (have I just blown it!)
In full: Great day out. You run a really attractive road race and then have the rest of the day to take in the Olympian Games, the event that inspired the Baron de Coubertin to revive the Olympic ideal on a slightly bigger scale.
