In short: the new start avoids the congestion of the narrow lane and track which is no problem when the field thins out. The hills and tracks make for a moderately challenging run which can be wet and muddy depending on conditions. Somerley and the Avon valley
In full: are a SSRI and so the habitat and scenery are impressive in a lowland valley context - mystic if foggy and damp.

In short: Good race with a few minor niggles
In full: I was surprised by some of the other comments. Yes there were few signs at the entrance but if they read the info that went with their number it was easy to find. If you got there in plenty of time you could go to the toilet and be told several times by the announcer where the start was. I do agree that having the finishing line just after the bridge was not very well planned as this meant that the sprint to the end was too short and meant supporters had little space to stand. It also stopped people driving their cars out of the entrance they had come in fron. However, there was another exit but you had to guess the way to get back to the main road. Overall I enjoyed the race and the goody bag was excellent with a medal and chocolate. I will be back next year.

In short: Great way to see out the old year..
In full: What an improvement on last year. Moving the start made such a difference and the whole thing went so smoothly. Well done to the organisers, thanks for a great race.

In short: 4th year and great fun
In full: I love this run, every year the view changes, the fog this year was lovely. Good run for shedding a few Christmas pounds ready for the New Year. Could have done with either more people or signs on the entrances, I know Somerley well as I am local but in the fog I got lost in the grounds! Thank you to the marshals, as always very friendly

In short: Great race, will definately be returning next year!
In full: This was my first 10k race and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It seemed to be well organised with thanks to all those involved for their encouragement and support.
The only downside for me was the lack of roadside signs outside of the estate, even at the entrance! We wasted 20 minutes or so finding out where to get in.
Well worth doing though, and I shall certainly be back next year.

In short: Excellent incentive over Christmas period.
In full: My first race, and lived up to expectations. Nice location, pretty good organisation, and a friendly atmosphere. Cold and muddy, as to be expected, but just makes you feel more accomplished afterwards. Good track, with only one mild hill, and muddy sections when diverted around cattle grids. Will certainly run again next year if I am able.
