In short: Great morning out! In full: Much better organised than expected after reading last year's ratings - although finding the place was a challenge (more signs?), and the bike route was a little lacking in signs - I think a few got lost. All in all, the routes were enjoyable, the organisers friendly, transition area OK (despite being put together at the last minute), and I'd recommend anyone to try it!!!

In short: Poorly organised In full: Run route was badly marked with people getting sent the wrong way through the forest and the distance being a long way short of the claimed 10km for the first leg. The results made no sense at all. Was a lovely route for the run and bike though and it was my first multi-sport event, but I don't think I'd be back for this one unless it was better organised. In short: Great course, poor organisation. In full: The location and course were stunning. The course was inaccurately measured, however - run being well under 10k and bike leg under 40k. Finding it in the first place was as challenging as the race itself, as there were no directions on the club's website and not a single sign in the area to direct you to the start.
Once there, we found that there were no toilets on site and there was no record of my entry via the Runner's World website.
Disappointing that there was no t-shirt in the goody bag as advertised on the club's website.
Results published were inaccurate.
With better organisation and communication from the directors, this could be a great race. Date of review: September 6, 2011

In short: Great race, but needs much better organisation. In full: 10k run, more like 7k. Very hilly course all round, but that not a bad thing just a bit more challenging!! Scenery fantastic. No toilets, small transition area, no number for me (problem with my runners world entry...), no t shirt, goody bag just contained a bottle of lucozade. Lots of areas to improve on, but no doubt will be better next year!! Maybe I'll be back... Date of review: September 4, 2011
