In short: fantastic value for money!
In full: A lovely trail run with friendly organisers, and a refreshingly non-extortionate entrance fee of just a fiver!! It feels like cross country in places being rather hilly and muddy so it's not a pb race by any stretch but still, it's great for training and a welcome change from the roads! Stick around for the prize giving at the end - plenty of vouchers/bottles of wine to be had!!

In short: Great fun with lots of energy sapping mud. Packed my road trainers instead of trail trainers so was a bit "Bambi on Ice" at times!

In short: Extremely Muddy but great fun
In full: This trail race turned out to be a lot more fun than I had expected. The mud and hills only added to the marvelous atmosphere that was in the air way before the start.Fellow competitors were generally happy to chat about the challenge ahead and share a drink or two at the bar afterwards.Despite what other reviews have said, I would have liked something at the finish just to remember each race gone by.I would be happy to pay a few pounds extra, if it meant a tshirt, medal or a towel at the end.No water at the finish was a little dissapointing I have to add, but overall the event was very well organised and good value. The marshals were fantastic and were all very encouraging throughout the whole well marked out race. One sour point of the day however (which I havent seen before at races) was the disgusting sight of one or two VERY inconsiderate loutish runners peeing in full view of children and women. Not even bothering to go behind a bush..This will certainly not go down well with the locals who tolerate these races. let alone the unforgiveable exposure in front of many young kids...I would like to have seen marshals approach these people and instantly disqualify them from the race. All in all though it was a race to remember and to have a go if you fancy getting into trail running.Well done !!

In short: tough challenge
In full: a tough muddy challenge. decent value - I'd much rather have low prices than daft prizes/t-shirts etc. Well organised too.
