In short: Fabulous fun again!
In full: Just love this race. The extra 1/4 mile was nearly the end of me, but hey, on 7 training runs since January, I was glad to survive :)
Great race - phenomenal number of marshalls, really very very good. And supportive marshalls too. Great fun, lovely scenery, great weather this year too, can't fault it. Roll on 2011 :)

In short: The small route change made all the difference
In full: As I live in the village where the race is held I try and run it every year - but I've never really trained for it until this year. I wanted a sub-hour time and I knew what I had to do but then there was a little detour in the last mile from the usual route which added a quarter-mile.

On the old route my pace would've seen me finish in 59:50 so I'm a bit annoyed about the route change but it doesn't take anything away from the race. It's always very enjoyable and the weather was perfect.

I'll be back again in 2011.

In short: A fabulous event with wonderful scenery.
In full: Some pretty tough hills (the last mile is all uphill) but lots of fun! And the fruit cake at the end is delicious.

In full: Lovely race highly recommended. My first time, found everyone very friendly. Course is challanging, some steep hills and run over a variety of surfaces.

In short: Tough but very enjoyable!
In full: A pleasant run through beautiful countryside, with a handful of challenging hills that let your legs know they're there. Always a nice atmosphere at this race - can't think of a nicer way to spend an auntumn morning.
