In short: well done...got it right this year!!
In full: Brilliant this year.Looks like the organiser took all points raised last year and went the extra mile to ensure this years pinewood 10k rates amongst the best race I've ran in the past 18months. Superb morning out even if the weather was scorching! A new P.B to boot.Cheers again to steve for organising a truly memorabl race.

In short: Nice course, good organisation, lovely venue
In full: The access and car parking was excellent. Only a minute or two to walk from the car park to the toilets / start area. The course was mostly flat, rural and unshaded. The hills through the village at halfway were not as bad as I had expected from last year's comments. Without the heat I think I would have done a season best time for 10k, so I think the course could suit a PB another year (more training needed on my part). Loveley setting for the start/finish, plenty of toilets and water (I didn't sample the cakes but they looked tasty). Definitely one to add to my list of must do again 10ks.

In short: Blisteringly hot day but two water stations, spray hose at finish, plus cakes, teas and coffee made for a lovely race day set in beautiful grounds of Pinewood Prep School
In full: Set in the beautiful grounds of this Pinewood prep school - the second running of this race was a very hot (temp) one! Two water stops and a spray hose at the finish was a great idea. Delicious cakes, teas and coffees for sale in the school dining hall was a real treat. A very nice organiser with a lovely West Country accent too! A great day to remember.

In short: Great venue, scenic route, wilted in the heat.
In full: Scenic venue and route, with excellent parking right by the start and finish. Long flat sections but perhaps it was the intense heat that made the series of short hills in the middle of the race tougher than expected. Thanks to the organisers for the extra water station but agree with others that an earlier start would avoid some of the heat problems (though it was pretty hot by 10.00 anyway). But an enjoyable course and plenty of slower runners to keep me company!

In short: Blisteringly hot!!
In full: My first foray into 10K, having only run mass-entry city half-marathons in the past, and I enjoyed the low-key, friendly atmosphere. Organisation and venue (and cakes!) were excellent, but as it's a local race with good access, could an earlier start-time be considered to avoid running in the midday July sun? There is very little shade along the route and, although a welcome extra water station was added at 7k, it was tough. I think without the heat the course would have potential for a pb, as the hills are short. As it was, I was disappointed not to better my 10k split time from the Bath HM, but glad to finish!

In short: Excellent organisation in a magnificent setting
In full: The venue is really great for the start and finish with plenty of toilets and showers. Race was tough due to the heat but extra water station was a bonus.Cakes were tasty and marshals friendly. A good mix of abilities too.
