In short: Start needs better organisation, lack of memento disappointing
In full: Have run this race twice before in 2009 & 2010. The start is badly organised and leads into a "funnel" where you have to fight a way through the slower runners who have decided to go to the front at the start. The marshalling and water stations are very good, the finish gets a good crowd and there's a good atmosphere throughout. This year there was no memento - for the last two years a ceramic "Reepham 10k" mug was provided which was a really nice touch. This year I got a green banana and a bottle of beer, which was disappointing and made me question the relatively high entry fee. Still, no doubt I'll do it again and remember to start right at the front next time.

In short: Good, well organised race with a competitive field of runners.
In full: Very scenic, single lap 10k. Very good turn out from the local running clubs in an around Norwich and North Norfolk. Long drive for me, driving up from mid-suffolk which may explain why I was a little disappointed with my time. Do not underestimate this race!

In short: A pleasant, well organized 10K, but never a PB
In full: This is the 3rd year I have run this race and its popularity has certainly grown. As a result of this, the start is now becoming very congested. However, that is only my negative point. As a result of getting boxed in at the beginning I was slower than last year! On the positive side, a nice scenic race combining road with track with some slight inclines along the way! A mug again this year was given as a memento, stop prizes plus fruit - good value for money.

In short: Muddy, but otherwise pb potential
In full: I really enjoyed this race which was my first in my home county of Norfolk. Nice friendly atmosphere. Nice touch of having water and bananas available at the start as well as the finish, and at the finish line water was passed out in a nice commemorative mug. Much more useful than another 'gardening' t-shirt. Anyway, the actual run: fairly flat with no real gradient until a slight hill around 4k, so consistent times. Second half is along a disused railway track (tracks removed). This was nice and cool and shaded but unfortunately the shade meant that the heavy rain from Saturday night hadn't quite dried out and it was very muddy and slippery as a result. This slowed the pace somewhat, but once I had given up trying to keep my feet clean it got a bit better again. A bit of a hill at the end and a tight turn/hill just before the finish but a very cheerful marshall was so enthusiastic that I somehow found a sprint finish - thanks for that! I got a spot prize too which was very generous, but obviously only good for those who got them. I felt like a winner anyway!

In short: A great race, multiterrain so not ideal for a pb
In full: A friendly race, great route good marshalling, but the prizegiving was very disappointing there was no 40+ age category for the ladies but there was for the men, why is this? it meant that 50 year old ladies were competing with 35 year olds & there were no team prizes so very disappointed with that but will do it again as i like the route

In short: A great race in the Norfolk countryside, very well organised
In full: This is a really enjoyable event with the first 6 on country lanes and finishing on 4 k along an old railway track. Its very well organised and of those races with a local feel. Highly recommended

In short: Good, solid Norfolk 10k
In full: Ran this last year, was 3 minutes quicker this year and with a PB, so well pleased with that. There was a very muddy patch between 7-9k which slowed things down, though weather can't be helped. However, the turning into the finish is too tight and takes time off the run, and I'd like to see the route replanned if possible to give a wider start and finish to prevent bottlenecking. Only other complaint was there was no toilet roll in the scout hut loos, which isn't ideal if you need to release those, um, "pre-race nerves". Otherwise a good job, thanks to the organisers.
