In short: A great race, spectacular scenery, very undulating. My one negative is that it is actually only 9.4 k, meaning I got a PB that is inaccurate & will be hard to beat over a true 10k distance. That said, the hills on the first half made me earn it! Date of review: August 24, 2010

In short: Fantastic scenery, great race In full: Do not be put off by the elevation profile that is put on the website. A few undulations in the first 5k, 1 steep hill but did not last very long. Fantastic views mainly off road, lovely route and great organisation. See you next year. Date of review: August 15, 2010

In short: great scenery, friendly atmosphere In full: one problem with this race - both years I've run it, I'm convinced that the 9km sign is placed too early - the last kilometre is about 1.2km long. Not helpful when you're trying to pace yourself! Date of review: September 30, 2009

In short: All-terrain scenic well run 10k In full: Very enjoyable race, fantastic coastal scenery. Well organised and marshalled. Some paths are a bit narrow in places so hard to pass other runners, and a few bottle-necks near the start. On balance, well worth doing. Date of review: August 24, 2009

In short: Friendly race with beautiful scenery In full: This race was wonderfully organised, very well marshalled and was for a good cause. There were some tough climbs and scary descents but also plenty of grassy tracks and well surfaced pathways. All in all a great race that I would definitely do again! Date of review: August 24, 2009

In short: probably the most scenic 10k i have ever done In full: great race, friendly marshals and wonderful scenery - no way you'll ever get a pb but that really doen't matter as it was all about a friendly race with great views once you had conquered the cliff paths. how to improve the race? - ban ipods (got stuck behind an oblivious ipod runner taking up the whole of the path), more people on the water station, improve the veteran prizes as one veteran medal for a field of 250 is not good and more details on the results (club and v category would be good) Date of review: August 23, 2009

In short: was very nice, great scenery, quite hilly, narrow and stony paths and gates slowed you down, 1 marshall did not give right direction Date of review: August 22, 2009
