In short: A well intentioned, local race
In full: A no airs and graces race, did exactly what it said on the application form, yes the finer points e.g. distance markers, finishing drinks, lack of showers etc... could of been better but non pretentious and thoroughly enjoyable

In short: Muddy and cold
In full: A small local race, 149 ran this year, that involves a couple of laps around Southwick Park and takes in a mix of road, track and off-road. The weather made parts of the course very muddy and challenging to negotiate and whilst the marshals were encouraging and cheerful enough, their grasp of the distance left a bit to be desired, there was only a marker at 5K and and I was told there was 3.5k left to go at two separate points. Not bad fort a local run but definitely not a PB course

In short: very muddy but fun
In full: Everyone seemed to be a club runner, making the field quite quick. Bit demoralising to be at the back but was well cheered in at the end.

In short: Well organised and challenging
In full: Recent weather saw to it that PB's were few and far between. Challenging course with certain muddy.... no quagmires....which tested us. Water at the finish would have been appreciated. Marshalls did a good job. Maybe each km could be marked, shouldn't be a problem given that there were numerous direction markers in place anyway. Will definately run it again. well done to Avon Valley Runners and Trowbridge Lions for their organisation.

In short: A flat, slightly squidgy run.
In full: A nice run, friendly marshalls (and a sweeper for those who like to know these things!). Only niggles were the lack of water at the finish and not enough signs pointing to the school, but a fun race with a friendly atmosphere. :)

In short: not to bad course was nice.
In full: The course was nice but a drink at the end would have been good. better sign posts for school. But a nice run for all.
