In short: Overcrowded! In full: I will do it again as its for a good cause but its just too crowded, narrow paths make it hard to get any speed up and it was very muddy and slipp this year. Would be better to be split into more than one race. Date of review: July 2, 2007

In short: Overcrowded In full: If the organisers want to encourage people to come by public transport, it would be helful if they could provide baggage storage areas. Other charity running events manage it, why not Cancer Research? Up to 3km, it was really overcrowded and muddy. I've run the Watford 10km and 1/2 marathon from here and there's some lovely countryside around so why stick to the confines of narrow, muddy paths? Not one I'll be rushing back to....... In short: A great first race. Shame you can't book in on the day. In full: This is a 'race' anyone can join in since you can walk it or run it. It's great to be able to go with the children (girls only) and if they want to walk they can. If you're considering trying a race, this is the one to start with: it is unpressurized, has a fun atmosphere, and is away from roads. Mildly challenging up the slope but makes for easy running on the way down. As for the men - they should be at the finishing line holding the ice-creams! Date of review: June 28, 2006
