In short: Beautiful scenery, with rolling hills and beaches. Most of the sand is firm, there's just one very soft part which is over quite quickly. I've only ever competed in 10k races, I found this race tough, but definitely do-able!

In short: A very tough race, those sand dunes are not user friendley, I pulled a muscle last year and fell this, but was determined to finish.

In short: Cracking fast XC race, great course, well run. Probably 10-12 % slower than the same distance on the road.

In short: Worth the drive.
In full: Had to get up at 5 and drive nearly 4 hours to get there. Was it worth it? You bet it was! The scenery is beautiful ad worth going for alone. It was hard but not as hard as 2007 in the driving rain.
