In short: freezing but gorgeous scenery
In full: Really good race - very cold and starting in the long frosty grass made my feet very wet and cold! However pretty scenery and quite enjoy the out and back. Did not like the last bit over the rough grass, definately scuppered my PB attempt.

In short: Excellent fast run in cold conditions (but it soon warmed up when you got going!)
In full: Good flattish out and back course. Meeting the faster ones comining back the other way, us slower ones knew where we were in the pack! Well organised and marshalled. A good mornings run. PB just spoilt by the grassy bits. Will be back next year.

In short: A pleasant scenic course on quiet country roads with a few hills thrown in!
In full: Seemed quite a quick field of runners. Not so many of us slower ones. Medal I received had no reference to the event at all which was a bit of a shame as I'm a relative beginner and it's nice to have something which identifies what is quite a major achievement for me. In a few weeks I'll have forgotten where this one came from! I belive earlier finishers received different medals - were they RNLI/race specific?

In short: Enjoyable, well organised & picturesque
In full: A fabulous sunny & crisp morning - maybe the chilly conditions helped me hit a pb (but only my 4th 10k). Undulations weren't too bad & apart from the damp long-grassed playing field & the odd patch of ice the going underfoot was good.
Nice one Howard - thanks!
Will come again.

In short: Excellent race in lovely countryside, and good weather conditions.
In full: Don't be fooled by the organiser's description of flat though. It's more undulating than flat. Still didn't prevent me from setting a pb though.
