In short: Nice event, a couple of oversights but nothing major
In full: A good event, ok the couple of mistakes (toilets & water) were as mentioned an oversight but apart from that a good event. Interesting course - up, up, up, down, along and in. Good finishing area (great baggage collection) with a cool down walk back to the parking area. Second time there & enjoyed it as much as the first. Same time next year?

In short: Great fun as usual and special thanks to the cheery friendly marshalls.
In full: I really love this race, but it was a shame that there was no water by 10 o'clock when us slowies reached the top of the hill. Also thanks for the mug, but I would have preferred a medal especially as it was the 50th Hogs Back.

Notwithstanding all that, I really enjoyed myself and thanks again for the wonderful organisation and friendly, encouraging marshalling. Happy Christmas!

In short: Excellent event. Nice route and well organised.
In full: 1st year I've attended this event and will look to come back again next year. All aspects of this race were spot on. A big thanks to the organisers and those who helped run the event on the day.

In short: Plenty of runners, organisation could have been better
In full: The toliet fiasco will be well documented and I add to that. The mug should have been a medal and the drinks at the end were a bit dull.

In short: Race ok, the trimmings could have been better
In full: I am sure that so many people have commented on the lack of toilets that i don't need to go on too long there. Good that they would transfer your bags from start to finish - pretty long walk from finish in the rain - race itself was reasonably challenging, scenery was ok but it was too towny for the beginning chunk for my liking. Ok, race but didn't really have any spark to it. I would not drive the 25 miles again to repeat next year.

In full: Having done the race for the last 5 years I always look forward to the challenge of the run up to the top of the Hogs Back hill. Being nearer to the front could not comment like others have regarding lack of water, other than to say I did you use up any of the what sounds like precious supplies! Agree fully with comments made regarding toilets, or lack of therewith. However, nice to see admission of mistakes made already posted on the GGAC homepage. Hopefully these will be rectified in time for next year.

In short: Slightly amaturish organisation, but not a bad run
In full: Overall, I enjoyed this race (my first time), and I'm very appreciative of the helpful marshals. But the overall organisation was a bit lax.

It was annoying to have run out of water at the top of the hilly section. Fortunately it was a cool, wet day, so this wasn't as critical as it might have been, but still.

I wasn't too keen on having to run on open roads with no pavement, but I don't suppose they have much option.

It was a little annoying to find my back left out in the rain at the end of the race.

Sorry, this sounds a bit moany, which I don't like to do as the individual marshals did a great job, and were obviously just 'following orders'. It was some of those decisions that were a bit questionable.

Like others have said, the memento was a bit disappointing.

I probably won't do the race again as it's a bit far for me to travel, but it's a good distance to run -- more challenging than a 10K, and with some testing hills in the first half.

In full: Really disappointed- got to the top of the hill with two signs promising drinks far back to find out they had run out. This is the first time this has happened to me on a race and I was not even that close to the back with runners following all behind down the hill- i'm sure all equally annoyed with the lack of drinks.
