In short: Although a shortened course this is the most fun race I have ever entered.
In full: I wish I had a fancy dress costume as I stood out like a sore thumb amongst all the other runners. The atmosphere was fantastic, had a smile on my face most of the way round (apart from a slip on the ice resulting and a lovely purple right buttock). As there was snow everywhere it was not safe to race to the top of the Roaches and back so ran a 5 mile round Tittesworth reservoir. Beautiful scenery, especially from the dam end looking up over the reservoir to the Roaches in the distance. The choice of soup, hot chocolate, tea or coffee at the end was a welcome surprise. My family had a great time too and we are all looking forward to next year.
Thanks Staffs Moorlands AC the most fun race i have had all year.

In short: Changed course but still worth the 5 hour trip home over woodhead pass!!!
In full: Great day, great atmosphere. Shame the course was changed but was the right decision. Terrible weather before and after the race...glorious sunshine during it...

In short: Shame about the weather but a good one nevertheless
In full: My first time running this too so was disappointed not to do the real thing. But the alternative route was very scenic in all the snow so it was still worth effort. Some great fancy dress as well..

In short: Gutted!
In full: Travelled all the way up from Basingstoke to combine a weekend with Family and Friends and then doing the race on my return journey home. Only to wake to bad blizzard conditions and some decisions to make. Did look on Staff Moorlands website for any information if the race was going ahead but nothing there - Had no option but to drive back South with out my run :-( Gutted!!!

In short: Superb race yet again!
In full: Despite the route change due to ice and snow, the race was once again lots of fun and well organised. At one point I thought we were heading off up the Roaches in protest at the start, but turned out that we had all gone the wrong way! Didn't spoil the enjoyment thought, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Thanks yet again to Staffs Moorlands AC who never fail to impress.
